Registered NDIS provider, Perth
There’s a next step for everyone. Let’s take it together.
We work one-to-one with non-verbal and complex-needs teenagers across Perth. We get to know each teenager first, the calm and the spark, then build everything around what we find.
One consistent support worker per teenager. We come and meet you first, no paperwork, no pressure.

One worker who stays
The same support worker turns up each week and learns the signals no one else has had time to.
In the room with your clinicians
We join the monthly meetings with OTs, speech pathologists and behaviour support, and we act on the plan.
We come to you first
A real conversation at home before any paperwork. No pressure, and no rush to commit.
Why we do this
Make a teenager’s week a little better, and that counts for something.
Vel Care Alliance started after our founder watched a teenager, once withdrawn and frustrated, slowly come back to himself under patient, consistent support. It took years, not weeks. That change is the whole reason we exist.
We are not a large agency. We take on a small number of young people, and we stay long enough to make a real difference.
“If we can make a teenager’s life even one percent better, that is a big win for us.”
How we work
We start with the person, not a program.
For a teenager who cannot tell you what they want, the work is patient detective work. Here is how we go about it.
We watch before we plan
The first sessions are for learning: what calms them, what gets a reaction, what they reach for. We read body language, sounds and routines until we find the way in.
One support worker, who stays
The same person turns up each week and learns the signals, the good days and the hard ones. Families stop having to explain their child from scratch every few months.
We work with the whole team
We sit in the monthly meetings with behaviour support practitioners, occupational therapists and speech pathologists, try their strategies in real sessions, and tell them what actually happened.
We flex around real life
Shorter sessions, changing schedules and a plan that moves when the week does. We come out and meet you first: a conversation about what is working and what is not.
Where we can help
Support shaped around a real life.
Every teenager gets a mix that fits them, not a menu. Here is the kind of support we build around.
Time out in the community
One-to-one time out and about: trying new things, meeting people, and building confidence in the real world.
Weekends away
Overnight getaways built around what they love, from fishing to bush walks to cooking. A genuine break for the family too.
Everyday skills
Cooking, shopping, catching the bus: the small things that add up to real independence.
Getting to and from school
Reliable transport and a steady, familiar face through the school day.
Finding what's next
For school leavers: TAFE, a short course, a first job, with someone alongside who already knows them.
Working with your whole team
We act on the behaviour support plan and stay in step with your OT, speech pathologist and coordinator.
What it looks like in practice
Real teenagers. Real momentum.
We would rather show you what has happened than tell you what we believe. Two of the teenagers we support:

Four months at home became a year of momentum
A fifteen-year-old had left school and was sitting at home with nothing in his week. We learned he followed the Dockers, so his support worker turned up with a Dockers shirt on the first day. He smiled. A year on, he is studying at TAFE, volunteering in a cafe kitchen, and ordering his own lunch in public.

From the lounge room to a paid job on the road
A young man who cannot read or write needed a traffic control certificate to work. Our founder sat beside him through every training session, bridging the gap the standard course could not, until he passed. He now does paid traffic control work.
Who we walk with
The teenagers other providers found hard to reach.
We are built for the teenagers who need patience and consistency most. If this sounds like your teenager, or someone on your caseload, we would like to hear from you.
- Non-verbal teenagers who communicate in their own way
- Teenagers with complex behaviour who need a steady hand
- School leavers looking for a next step that fits them
- Families who have been through other providers and want one who stays
A week with us
Support that looks like a real life.
Cooking, sport, getting out into the community, learning the skills that build confidence. The activity is never the point on its own, it is the way in.

For families
You know your child. We take the time to know them too.
We meet you at home first, with no forms and no pressure. From there we move at your teenager’s pace, keep you in the loop, and flex around the weeks that do not go to plan.
For support coordinators & practitioners
The provider you call when nothing else has worked.
Non-verbal teenagers, complex behaviour, school leavers with no pathway. We hold the hard placements, work to the behaviour support plan, and report back with what we actually saw.
Come and meet us first
A conversation about what is working, and what is not.
No paperwork, no pressure. Tell us a little about your teenager, or someone on your caseload, and we will come to you.
