Vel Care Alliance

For families

You know your child. We take the time to know them too.

If you have been let down before, we understand the hesitation. Here is exactly what working with us looks like, so there are no surprises.

We meet you at home first

A real conversation about your teenager and your family, with no forms and no pressure. You decide where it goes from there.

One worker who learns your child

The same support worker, week after week, who comes to know the sounds, the signals and the good days. You stop translating your child to a stranger every few months.

We move at their pace

We start slow, watching and learning, and build from what we find. Progress is measured in real moments, not boxes ticked.

We flex around your week

Life with a teenager is unpredictable. Sessions shift, plans change, and we work around the weeks that do not go to plan.

Questions families ask

The things you are probably wondering.

My child is non-verbal. Can you really connect with them?

Yes. We read body language, sounds and routines, and we give it the time it takes. For many of the teenagers we support, this is exactly where we do our best work.

Will it be the same person each time?

That is the whole point. One consistent support worker stays with your teenager, so the relationship and the trust have room to grow.

Do you offer a break for us as parents?

We do. Our weekend getaways give your teenager something they genuinely enjoy and give you a real rest, not just a few supervised hours.

My child has just finished school. Can you help with what's next?

Yes. We help school leavers find a course, a volunteer role or a first job, and we stay alongside them while they settle in.

A conversation, not a commitment

Tell us about your teenager.

There is no form to fill in to start. Just a conversation, whenever you are ready.
